Social media analytics are messy. The number of channels. The rapid flow of content. The pressure to perform. The many metrics and tools. It can all be overwhelming, exhausting, and worse…distracting.

Analytics are helpful in optimizing the experience for a church guest, online or on-site. The challenge is in knowing what metrics to pay attention to, why, and ensuring the focus of communications is kept on the missional focus of the church and not the numbers.

On November 15, 2018, Jim Washok, Communications and Marketing Director at WEAG one of the largest churches in Richmond, Virginia, and owner of a customer experience marketing agency will speak to this challenge at the WFX Conference and Expo.

Jim will share how he and the team at WEAG improved the guest experience with the creation of content that was more welcomed and shared based on analytics of what performed and what did not. He will explain how the team’s social media strategy was adjusted to be more story-oriented vs program-oriented. And, he will describe the team’s strategy for adoption by session attendees. Lastly, Jim will devote considerable time to answering specific analytic questions and consulting on experience scenarios presented by attendees.
